So...Missing a Meal is Bad

Yesterday, I left to see Carol without having eaten lunch. As a result, it was after four when I finally did eat. By that time I was very hungry and starting to feel the light headed. After my late lunch/early supper, I still felt hungry and continued to feel that way most of the rest of the evening.

Ironically, one of the items I discussed with Carol yesterday was reducing the amount of food eaten at a time. The concern she raised was that if I do that, I want to be sure not to get too little protein, as doing so could lead to me feeling hungry. So, her advice was if I reduce the amounts I eat at meals, I should have a small snack of protein between meals, similar to the ounce of cheese at bedtime.

The lesson: Don't wait too long to eat, and don't skip meals.
